Born and raised in Rhode Island…

Rob Micallef is a product of the tenacious grip that the Providence arts community is known to have on its many disciples. Indeed, there is no coincidence that the anchor is a symbol for the state.  In 2013, he took his passions to New York City however, with the goal of joining like minded-individuals to enrich and inform communities through art and action.

By day he spends his time grinding at the stone of his crafts (media production, market research and photography), creating a multitude of visuals that promote the hard work of half a million strong and fighting laborers. They fight for better wages and benefits, safer job sites and greater opportunity. He helps to tell their stories through web design, marketing campaigns, magazines, billboards, animations, and videos.

He has been fortunate to travel all over the U.S. photographing various political rallies and construction sites. In the time that remains, he explores his talents freelancing, playing drums and trumpet, and traveling the world, (the latest destination - Seoul, South Korea).
